I’ve decided to join the Off the shelf book challenge

Off The Shelf!

The challenge is to read all the books in your to-be-read pile, the only thing is you already have to own them. Since I have a pile (which seems to continue growing when I’m not looking) and I also want to read more and watch TV less, I thought why not?

Part of my to-be-read pile also includes books I have received from publishers for review, so these will be marked as ARC, in the form of e-books. I thought I’d have a hard time reading a book on the computer since I like to curl up with my books, but I have read one already and wasn’t too uncomfortable for the most part.

The books I have on the pile as of today (and you can’t add more books to the list as part of the challenge) are:

1. Paranormalcy
2. Need
3. Sisters Red
4.The Keening (ARC)
5. Theodosia and the Last Pharaoh (ARC)
6. Majix: Notes From a Serious Teen Witch (ARC)
7. Nathaniel Fludd: Beastologist, Book 4: The Unicorn’s Tale (ARC)
8. Beyond Happiness (ARC)
9. Ordinary Recovery (ARC)
10. ChristoPaganism: An Inclusive Path
11. A Walk Through a Window (which I haven’t actually received yet, but is expected)

I also have some trade books which I have promised to review within 45 days of receipt, I’m not sure if they count, but I will be reading them.

12. Dreamweaver CS5 for Dummies 9 in 1 (ARC)
13. Photoshop CS5 for Dummies (ARC)

There are a few more that have become buried in my shelves, and for bonus points, I’ll add them when I uncover them. So, according to my estimates that makes me entering the challenge at the “trying” level of 15 books.
